The NIU Office of Sponsored Projects (OSP) assists faculty, graduate students, and staff in obtaining external funding for their research, creative-artistry, public-service, and instructional projects. OSP assists in developing research plans and ideas, identifying potential funding sources, interpreting funding agency guidelines, formulating budgets, and preparing and submitting grant proposals, contractual agreements, and fellowships. The Office also accepts all such awards on behalf of the University and provides assistance to faculty at the time of award.
